The Voice of Jesus

I heard the voice of Jesus say
Remember thou art mine Isaiah 43:1
Where’ere you go along lifes way
Like me thou art to shine. Psalm 17:15

I hear the voice of Jesus ask
Have you been true today? John 8:46
Have you been faithful to the task
In all you do and say? Matthew 21:28-30

I heard the voice of Jesus speak
In accent low and mild Is. 42:2
To thee I’m sent, who art so weak, Eph. 3:16
I’ll strengthen thee, my child.

I hear the voice of Jesus near
When I in danger stand, Is. 8:12,13
In trouble thou shouldst never fear
I’ll take thy trembling hand. Matt. 17:7

I hear the voice, Oh listen hark,
I’m to the world a light
To those who stumble in the dark,
A shining pathway bright. Eph. 5:14

I hear the voice of Jesus, kind,
Come, loved, one take thy rest,     Matt. 11:28
My yoke is easy thou shalt find.     Matt. 11:30
Come, lean upon my breast.           Ezek. 16:8

I heard the voice of Jesus dear,
Oh, how I value thee, Mal. 3:17
Someday, if true, thou shalt be near
